Elena Allee and Kerry Kraker currently live with their animals on their solar-and wind-powered farm in California's central coast, where they are in the process of creating a small artists'-and-writers' retreat/alternative-energy workshop center/stray-animal-fostering home. Both originally from New York City, they lived in Los Angeles for years, rescuing and fostering many animals. Elena has two small La-based fashion design labels. She received her BA from Bennington College, and MFA from Rutgers University. Her paintings have been exhibited in New York and Los Angeles. Kerry has a small business designing & building custom Kitty Habitats, for which Elena does the landscaping. Kerry has also been an animal rescuer his whole life, and his current series of paintings reflect his devotion to the non-human world. His work has been also exhibited in New York and Los Angeles. This is their first collaboration for a show.
